Jay Janney earned his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. Currently, he serves as the department chair of the Department of Management and Marketing. He has had over 30 articles published. Prior to becoming department chair, Janney launched Flyer Angels and the University of Dayton Business Plan Competition. Janney also serves as editor of Management Research Review and is an associate editor at Management Decision. Outside of academia, Janney is involved in supporting youth, from coaching basketball, being a camp counselor and serving multiple roles with Boy Scout Troop 78. Before coming to Dayton, Janney taught as a visiting assistant professor at Purdue University—you may have heard about one of his students, Drew Brees.
