The Accelerated MBA Path for Working Professionals

The accelerated MBA path is designed for business professionals who have eight or more years of full-time work experience. If you have relevant professional and academic experience, you may be able to complete the program in as few as 15–18 months, depending on how many courses are waived.

With the accelerated program path, you will receive the same business expertise as the full MBA without spending time gaining skills you have already mastered. In the accelerated path, you will:

  • Complete fewer foundation courses, allowing you to advance your career more quickly, for less of a financial investment.
  • Earn your degree from UD’s AACSB-accredited School of Business Administration.
  • Network with expert faculty and like-minded students online and in person.

Who Is Eligible to Pursue the Accelerated MBA?

The admission committee will closely review your application to decide how many course waivers you will receive based on your prior education and professional experience.

When you apply, use the optional statement to explain how you believe your academic and/or professional experience demonstrates mastery of skills developed in the foundation course(s) for which you seek waivers. Your resume should provide a detailed description of relevant work experience including dates, specific day-to-day responsibilities and outcomes that demonstrate your aptitude for the course content as described. Include specific examples.

If you earned your bachelor’s degree in a business-related field within the last seven years, you may be eligible for the one-year MBA path. Learn more about this option.
