Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background.
I am a schoolteacher. My passion is to develop compassionate, well-educated community servants. I am a wife of 30 years and mother of five sons. My undergraduate degree is from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.
What made you choose the University of Dayton’s MBA program?
The Marianist foundation, the MBA program graduation rate, the MBA employment opportunities, and overall flexibility of MBA coursework and evening schedules helped me choose this program.
How has what you’ve learned in the program impacted the work you are currently doing? How will it prepare you to be a leader in your industry?
The program has helped me cultivate a pragmatic business mindset that will allow me to approach and guide my school district’s administration to function at a more competitive educational level. This will impact our learning community: students, parents, staff and supportive citizens. My new business skills and training will prepare me to be a leader in my school district at the administrative level.
What advice do you have for others considering this degree?
Be yourself, be flexible, be persistent and have strong organizational and management skill sets. Also, never be shy in asking for help from your professors, classmates, UD tutors, your advisor and the UD Student Success Center.
